Key Permits Secured for the Chvaletice Manganese Project

Due date:
12/06/26

The company has successfully obtained the key permits necessary for the project’s implementation. Among the most significant of these are the binding opinion on the Environmental Impact Assessment -EIA (March 2024), the Determination of the mining lease (January 2025), the building permit for the 400 kV power cable connection (February 2025), the building permit for the temporary technological bridge (March 2026), the zoning decision for the processing plant (April 2026), the building permit for infrastructure relocations (May 2026), and the zoning decision for the railway line and shunting yard (June 2026).

The final permit under the Mining Act is the Plan for Opening, Preparation, and Mining (POPD), which sets out the technical conditions of the project and ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards. The final step in the permitting process under the Building Act will be the so-called project approval (formerly known as a building permit), the documentation for which will be prepared as part of the front-end engineering design (FEED).
