The European Commission has included us in the list of strategic projects

On 25 March 2025, the European Commission approved a list of 47 strategic projects to support the capacities of strategic raw materials to ensure and diversify the EU's access to critical raw materials and thus support its competitiveness. The announcement of strategic projects is a step to put into practice the Critical Raw Materials Act adopted last year.

European Commission Vice-President Stéphane Séjourné said that: "Czech manganese is very important for Europe, we are completely dependent on imports and processing outside the EU." "We assume that if we designate projects as strategic, this designation alone will make it easier for them to access money. So, we hope that it will encourage private investors," said Stéphane Séjourné. The European Commission expects a total capital investment of €22.5 billion. These projects will benefit from coordinated start-up support from the Commission, Member States and financial institutions, in particular in terms of access to finance and support in establishing contacts with relevant customers.
