Participation in the International Raw Materials Conference in Brussels

In the week of 13-17 November, we were invited to the international raw materials conference "Raw Materials Week" in Brussels. The conference was focused on raw materials policy, mostly of EU countries. Its main theme was the European Critical Raw Materials Act and related issues concerning securing a sustainable supply of critical raw materials for European industry, international partnerships in the field of raw materials, their research and innovation priorities, the state of exploration programmes and permitting processes in the field of raw materials in each country, ways to reduce the risks of private investment, the interaction between raw materials and (geo)politics, society, technology and the environment. Highlights of the conference included Maroš Šefčovič - Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Energy Union in the EU, Thierry Breton - EU Commissioner for Internal Trade.
